DeafBlind Resource

DeafBlind Resource Team (DBRT)

Our Purpose:

The Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf (WPSD) DeafBlind Resource Team (DBRT) is a collaborative group of professionals that offers technical assistance to teams supporting students with deafblindness. The DBRT provides training, professional development, and resources to individuals or multidisciplinary teams to help them address the distinctive learning needs of deafblind students.

WPSD Programs:

Students enrolled in the WPSD programs benefit from a DBRT consultant supporting their IEP team from the initial intake evaluation throughout their educational journey while a student in the program. Programs include Choices for Children statewide, the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf, the Scranton School for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children, the Children’s Center at PennWest Edinboro, and the Children’s Center of Central Pa.
