Highmark Open Enrollment Information

“Highmark Open Enrollment Information” (2013)

The WPSD Human Resource Specialist provides information on how to complete the WPSD and SSDHHC Highmark Open Enrollment Forms.

WPSD/SSDHHC benefit open enrollment for September 2013-August 2014 begins July 1st and end on August 26th.

Due to the rising costs of health care nationwide and the required implementation of the Affordable Care Act, WPSD/SSDHHC health care costs have significantly increased. Because of the increase of costs for medical benefits, we are offering a choice of four medical plans for the 2013-14 plan year. The current plan will not be available for the 2013-14 benefit period; therefore, all eligible employees must either complete an enrollment form selecting one of the four benefit options or sign a waiver form.

In order to assist employees with different benefit and financial needs, we have decided to offer all four benefit packages that are being offered through the ISHC:

I – no deductible – in network, co-pays
S – in network – $125 individual, $250 family co-pay
H – in network – $250 individual, $500 family, co-pays
C – highest deductible – in-network $500 individual, $1,000 family, co-pay

If you want more information on co-pays, please check the Highmark Blue Book and locate the “Summary of Benefits, Plans C, H, I, S.”

The cost of each plan varies. See the rate sheet posted on the website for specifics.

A Highmark representative will be at WPSD & SSDHHC on Monday, July 15th from 8 AM to 2 PM to answer your individual questions.

You may also contact the HR department with your questions.

Please complete your enrollment form by July 31st to ensure that you receive your insurance card by September 1st. Or submit your enrollment form by August 26th. If you do not carry WPSD benefits, you must complete the waiver form and submit to HR by August 26th, 2013.
