EITC Tax Credit
The Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf is an approved Educational Improvement Organization for FY 2017-18 under the Education Improvement Tax Credit program offered through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development. EITC enables businesses to make donations to non-profit educational organizations approved by the Commonwealth. EITC is a statewide initiative enacted by the DCED in 2001 and enables Pennsylvania businesses to apply credits against their tax liability for the tax year in which they make a contribution to support students and education in the Commonwealth. The dollars your company would have paid in taxes will instead provide funding to support S.T.E.M. education programing and opportunities for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students at WPSD. Visit Pennsylvania’s EITC site, which is provided above, for more information or to apply for tax credits. Thank you, in advance, for your kind consideration of WPSD and generosity toward our students.
